We were in Québec City for a weekend… a bachelorette party, but not like the others.
No interest in ending the day without something to remember. We just wanted to enjoy ourselves, laugh, discover, and do something special. And that’s exactly what we found with the Wine Trail on Île d’Orléans.
As soon as we arrived at Vignoble Isle de Bacchus, we knew the day would be memorable. The owner pulled out a bottle of sparkling wine… and a sword. Yes, a real one. He sabred the bottle right in front of us. The cork flew, the bubbles too, and we were already laughing. A magical moment.
Next, we headed to Vignoble du Mitan. A change of vibe: calmer, more gourmet. We took our time. We shared charcuterie and cheese boards. With their house wines, it was just perfect. A real moment between friends, simple and delicious.
Then Domaine Sainte-Famille. We did not expect that at all. Yes, we tasted their wines… but above all, their specialty: a pear wine. It was a first for us, and honestly, we loved it. Completely different, refreshing, surprising.
What we’ll remember most?
It was easy. Smooth. Enjoyable.
We didn’t have to plan anything, just enjoy. No stress, no logistics. Just a beautiful afternoon laughing, tasting, and discovering.
We ended the day with dinner in Old Québec… but clearly, the highlight of the weekend was this escape on Île d’Orléans.
A perfect experience for a day out with friends.
