We started off with a chocolate stop to taste and of course, purchase all kinds of goodies. Then, to a wine tasting place, a nougat place, a jams and jellies and mustard place and finally, a coffee place. At each stop, we purchased stuff. They can ship wine home also. All in all....a delightful tour.

  Loved our half a day trip to the island with Jeff as our driver and tour guide. Jeff was great! I knew I wanted to drive around the island but... read more didn’t want to rent a car to get there. This was a great way to get there. We visited five different places. We tasted and purchased at most of the stops. It was fun to get home and taste our purchases as it reminded us of our visit to this island across from Quebec City. We still have a bottle of Creme de Cassis, a black current alcoholic drink to enjoy soon maybe over ice cream and a jar of onion confit on a burger! Great souvenirs!

  In fall or summer this would be trip would be fabulous. The winter is not the best time to visit the island.

  It was nice to get out of town and see other parts of the area. The island is very cute and rustic, but very close to Quebec City. You taste... read more chocolate, nougat, cassis wine and apple wine.Everything you try is very sweet so you may want to have a light meal before. Our guide was fun and shared lots of information. We also met several people on the tour from other parts of the US...it was fun chatting with them. The meeting place is past the hotel before you get to the tourist center...once you see the sign you will know you are in the right place. Our guide was happy to drop you off at your hotel which was nice due to how cold it was...one couple would have had a long walk back to their hotel, but she was able to easily drop them off along the route back to the meeting point.
